At Strive Wellbeing we care about people’s needs and views, both now and for the future. Wellbeing, generally defined as “being healthy and happy” can mean different things to different people. We will spend time getting to know those using our service and find out how we can really help make a difference in their life.
Currently we deliver Community Links (see the page for more information) in Tranent, Prestonpans, Inveresk and Riverside GP surgeries. We work with those aged over 16 and you can be referred by a health professional within the surgery or you can self-refer. Community Links is there to provide you tailored, non-medical support delivered by a Links Practitioner, as opposed to your GP or other health professional.
Our Community and Men’s Shed projects are located in Dunbar, North Berwick and Musselburgh. Dunbar is a Community Shed which welcomes both men and women. Projects to date have included building garden benches, sand pits, mud kitchens for local playgroups, chicken coops for local schools and bird tables. The ladies that attend the group have undertaken a large variety of arts and crafts and have participated in the woodworking too. North Berwick and Musselburgh Men’s Sheds have been working on the erection of their Sheds, customising the interior of the Sheds and starting on projects that will benefit their local communities. Please see our page on Sheds for further information and contact details.
