Job Description
Assist the Development Worker with the Dementia Friendly East Lothian initiative and associated projects. Tasks include; 1.Prepare and distribute a variety of publicity materials to promote events and meetings. This may be through our website, facebook, twitter and flyer drops. 2.Assist with the day to day organisation of events and conferences Regular support and supervision sessions with the Development Worker.

See full job description for full details With the skills learnt they will be in a position to provide relevant information to and deal with enquiries from members of the public, and partner organisations on Dementia Friendly initiative. The postholder will have gained the confidence and knowledge to engage with members of the public, in particular young people about dementia. In turn this will create a greater community awareness of issues associated with dementia utlimately creating comunities that are more supportive of people who have dementia.

Training and Job Search
Initially on-the-job training will be arranged. Thereafter a personal development plan will be created and tailored to meet the needs of the individual. We will also provide training specifically related to the work area such as Dementia Friendly awareness. Jobsearch Support can provide: -Access to resources e.g. telephone, stamps etc -Access to jobsearch websites -CV production -Assistance with Application Forms -Mock interviews
