To help people maintain independence and dignity in their homes and communities particularly in later life.
Could you bring some extra sunshine to Sunny Dunny? The club meets once a week and provides a welcome opportunity for isolated older people to get together.
There are lots of older people, who although they are still full of beans, don’t get out of the house as much as they would like. The Dunbar Sunshine Club offers somewhere to meet, socialise and join in with activities or outings, each week. Could you develop an interesting programme of activities, presentations and outings?
You will have the opportunity to develop exciting ideas and know that you are really improving the quality of life of those attending. You will have the support of the existing volunteers and staff in our East Lothian office, as well as a small budget from weekly subscriptions.
