British Wireless for the Blind Fund is looking for people who can offer a few hours a month to deliver and demonstrate audio equipment to blind and partially-sighted people in their homes. You will ï¿½phone the recipient, make an appointment that suits you both, deliver the set and show them how it works. A follow-up ï¿½phone call a couple of weeks later would be useful. This role requires an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check which will be organised by and paid for by British Wireless for the Blind Fund.
Volunteers should be confident, friendly, have good people skills, and have access to a vehicle (mileage paid). Some IT skills would be useful but not essential

This role is not on a regular basis. The amount of hours is dictated by the number of referrals that come through from that persons particular home area.
Induction and Full training is provided by the Regional Development Manager. This can be carried at the volunteerï¿½s home. Full support is also provided by the Regional Development Manager, who is available at all working hours
