Being able to commit to one day a week in an Action for Children office or at home making calls and writing letters to potential raffle prize donors. Investigating local supermarkets and high street store charitable voucher schemes. Coming up with new idea's for exciting new raffle 7 auction prizes such as nights out, hampers and beauty treatments. Sending off 5 raffle prize applications a week. Sending thank you letters to raffle & auction prize donors and calling them to let them know how much was raised. Keeping a detailed account of businesses who have been approached and contributed to our raffle prize stock.
Ability to talk and negotiate as well as type. Have a good telephone manner and customer relation skills. The person will have to fact find, organise information, file it so others can pick up on it, talk to people about our organisation through written and verbal communication. Be good at extracting donated items!
