About Royal National Institute for the Blind RNIB Scotland provides practical support, advice, products and services to anyone living with sight loss. Community Fundraising division ensures that RNIB continues to provide this quality service by raising awareness and valuable funds within local communities.
About Opportunity

Local Event Organisers will use their communication skills to develop and manage a fundraising event. Working with support from your RNIB area fndraising manager you will be someone who enjoys meeting people and building a working relationship with contacts from all walks of life. Using their knowledge of their home, local Event Organisers will contact businesses, media, groups to produce a cost effective but enjoyable event.

Skills and Experience

Be able to work unsupervised and have an interest in getting out and meeting people and chatting to people. Should be honest and trustworthy and able to learn simple financial record keeping and banking procedures. Own transport advantage not essential.

Volunteers using public transport will be reimbursed. Volunteers using own car will be given mileage rate of between 31p and 33p. Other reasonable expenses will be met. Submission of a claim form.
